MDS 24-M2 upgrade

Hello,

That is a McData switch and you posted to the Cisco area. You might want to repost to the McData area to get a response from that team.

Thank you.

HI Osama,

Just to let you know I have moved your post to the McData Forum from Cisco as you are asking about a McData Switch.

Osama, if you place a service call with your local EMC Account team they will arrange the upgrade of the firmware along with Change Control validation of the change. Just for you information the latest code level is 9.6.2, to get to this level the firmware will have to be upgraded in step 5.1 -> 6.x -> 7.x -> 8.x -> 9.x

You can also do this yourself if you get the local CE to provide the files.

The McData firmware upgrades are dead simple and I've done all the switch firmware upgrades in our environment for the past few years. Easier than scheduling a tech onsite, and our Change Management folks like it better if we are doing the work in house.

I'm just about to do my first Brocade one next week and I'm hoping it goes as well as the McData ones. (and yes, before someone points it out... I know that McData is really Brocade now :-) )
